Steph Curry remains mesmerized by the remarkable performance of LeBron James and Kyrie Irving during the 2016 NBA Finals against his Warriors.
The 2016 season witnessed Cleveland’s monumental comeback from a 3-1 deficit to clinch the championship against all predictions.
The Warriors were heavily favored to emerge victorious, only to be shocked when the Cavaliers triumphed.
“Never before have I witnessed two players maintain such extraordinary levels of play for three consecutive games,” mentioned Curry during an appearance on JJ Redick’s podcast, The Old Man and the Three.
“It was the most unbelievable thing I’ve ever witnessed. Both Bron and Kyrie were simply outstanding… We performed well, but they simply outperformed us.”
Curry eventually avenged the defeat by leading Golden State to victory in the following two seasons, securing the championships in 2017 and 2018 with the assistance of Kevin Durant.
