The decision has been made by Minnesota Timberwolves to appoint Ernest Scott as the Head Coach of the Iowa Wolves, the squad’s G League partner.
Moreover, Minnesota has elevated Nathan Bubes to the position of Assistant Coach and Michael DiBenedetto to the role of Assistant Coach/Director of Operations for the Wolves.
Expressing his thoughts, Jonathan Wallace, Timberwolves Director of Player Personnel / Iowa Wolves General Manager, stated, “I am thrilled for Ernest, Nathan, and Michael taking on these fresh responsibilities with our side in Iowa and continuing to cultivate our budding players. Ernest has put in relentless effort to establish himself in this role and has forged strong bonds with players, staff, and the local community in Iowa. We are eager to see Nathan and Michael standing with him in Des Moines as we gear up for the forthcoming season.”
Commenting on the development, Timberwolves Head Coach Chris Finch remarked, “I am proud of the progress made by Ernest, Nathan, and Michael, paving the way for their new roles with the Iowa Wolves. We are looking ahead to the future of our G League unit and have complete belief that these three individuals will excel in leading our program in Iowa.”
Grateful for his new position, Scott mentioned, “It is a privilege to be appointed as the Head Coach of the Iowa Wolves and to be a representative of the Timberwolves organization in the finest way possible. I am enthusiastic about remaining a part of the Des Moines community and fulfilling the vision and goals laid out by Coach Finch and the Timberwolves in all our endeavors on and off the field.”
