Based on a high-ranking official’s assessment, Blake Griffin, who is presently an unattached free agent, could significantly enhance the Los Angeles Lakers’ roster in the upcoming NBA campaign.

The Lakers have made several commendable acquisitions in the off-season, yet they are deficient in the center position.

Presently, the lone legitimate center on the team’s lineup is Jaxson Hayes, who has seen limited action since his debut in the league three years ago.

Although there were whispers about center Christian Wood potentially joining the Lakers, it appears that negotiations have hit a standstill.

The industry leader is of the opinion that experienced big man Blake Griffin would be a superb addition for the Lakers.

According to the official’s comments to NBA Analysis Network, “Blake Griffin remains available, and I believe he would seamlessly integrate with the Lakers, adding significant depth to the roster.”

At 34 years of age, Griffin could fulfill a supportive role, serve as a backup forward, or offer guidance to the younger players, contributing off the court despite potential limited playing time.

While Griffin’s defense may not be extraordinary, his recent performances have showcased remarkable energy and diligence.

His flexibility on the court, coupled with his adept passing skills, would complement rising talents such as Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves.

Furthermore, incorporating another seasoned figure within the team would be advantageous, particularly as LeBron James presently assumes a majority of those responsibilities, requiring occasional respite.

It is notable that Griffin previously represented the LA Clippers for a span of eight seasons, providing him with familiarity regarding the dynamics in Los Angeles.
