Rasual Butler, ex-NBA players, died at 38 in car collision

It is awful news for the whole NBA. In an unfortunate incident, the former NBA player Rasual Butler died in a car accident in Wednesday in Los-Angeles. This was informed by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office. As per the sources, there was also a woman in the car who also died in the accident. The woman was spotted as Butler’s wife named Leah LaBelle who was the former American Idol contestant and R & B singer. Butler played for the Miami Heat and Angeles Clippers. The sources said the accident took place in early morning, around 2 AM.

Talking about the incident, Butler was driving his Range Rover car in the Studio City section of Los Angele. As he was travelling at speeds around two to three times more than the limit, he lost control over steering and then smashed into a wall after collided a parking meter. This information has provided by the Los Angeles Police Department North Hollywood division. The police got a call about the accident at around 2:30 AM. Then they arrived at the place and recovered the deceased. Now, the police officials are investigating the matter to find out the cause of the crash.

Expressing grief, the Clippers released a statement and stated that “The L.A. Clippers are deeply saddened by the loss of Rasual Butler and his wife, Leah LaBelle.” The Miami Heat also expressed the sorrow and wrote “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Rasual Butler and his wife, Leah LaBelle. Our sincere condolences, thoughts, and prayers go out to the family and many friends of Rasual and Leah. They will be missed.”

The 6 feet 7 inches player played at LaSalle University and also played for the team like San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls.  He had played four years at LaSalle University and received twice First-Team All-Atlantic 10 conference honours. He had been traded into the teams like the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets, the Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, Washington Wizards Toronto Raptors, and San Antonio Spurs.
