Recognized Australian basketball player and seasoned NBA pro for nine years, Matthew Dellavedova, has inked a two-year pact with Melbourne United in the National Basketball League of Australia. Dellavedova previously played for the Kings during the 2022/23 season but was sidelined due to a finger operation which barred him from participating in the postseason. His prior experiences involved competing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, capturing a title in ’15/16, and the Milwaukee Bucks from 2016-2018.

Aged 32, Dellavedova engaged in the ’21/22 season with Melbourne United, marking a reunion with the squad. Displaying his excitement, Dellavedova expressed, “I am elated to be back with Melbourne United. My aim is to clinch a championship with this squad… It was a remarkable group of individuals, some of whom I had prior knowledge of, while I built strong connections with others.”

Formerly holding a modest contract with the Kings, Dellavedova primarily served as a reserve, appearing in 32 games with an average playing time of just 6.7 minutes per game. Throughout his career, he has sustained averages of 5.2 points and 3.5 assists in 479 regular season contests, renowned for his grit, intense demeanor, and resolve.
