Another suitor in the mix is the Sacramento Kings, despite Siakam reportedly indicating that he would not commit to re-signing with them in the offseason if they traded for him.
However, as per The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor, Sacramento remains undeterred and intends to pursue him regardless.
“My understanding is that the Kings would still trade for Siakam even without the assurance that he’d re-sign, but his lack of commitment certainly changes the assets they’d be willing to give up alongside Harrison Barnes and Kevin Huerter,” O’Connor stated.
“Chances are, the Kings would be outbid by a team that’s more confident that Siakam would stay beyond this season.”
POTENTIAL MOVE OF DONOVAN MITCHELL TO THE HEAT
NBA insider Marc Stein has asserted that the Miami Heat’s interest in Donovan Mitchell was “genuine.”
Here’s what Stein revealed:
“The Miami Heat, according to league sources, maintain genuine interest in Donovan Mitchell despite Cleveland’s hands-off approach and could opt to test that stance with Mitchell proposals following Miami’s trade pursuits.
Previous reports about the potential acquisition of Bradley Beal and Damian Lillard during the summer did not result in either player landing in South Beach.
However, Udonis Haslem, a revered figure in the Heat’s history, has refuted thearticle.
Haslem conveyed, “It’s not occurring. Pat is satisfied with his squad, I can affirm that. I’m still plugged in to know what’s happening behind the scenes.”

PACERS EXPLORING BUDDY HIELD TRADE
NBA insider Marc Stein has disclosed that the Indiana Pacers have been devising trade scenarios involving Buddy Hield.
Hield is currently in the final season of his contract and is earning a salary of $18.6 million for this season.
The Pacers are reportedly open to adding a future first-round pick to any potential deal, but they are hesitant to include their promising young talents, such as Bennedict Mathurin.
DEJOUNTE MURRAY HEADED TO THE LAKERS
According to Kevin O’Connor, the Atlanta Hawks are actively seeking to trade Dejounte Murray and are asking for two first-round picks in return. O’Connor also indicated that Murray “prefers to join a team with an immediate chance to contend in the playoffs”.
Reports indicate that the Lakers are interested in acquiring Murray but are not willing to part with Austin Reaves in any potential transaction. However, the general consensus seems to be that offering Reaves would be the only way for LA to persuade Atlanta to finalize a deal.
