The Detroit Pistons Officially Acquires Kevin Knox

The Detroit Pistons have officially added Kevin Knox II, a small forward, to their roster.

During the 2022-23 season, Knox II, who stands at 6-7 and weighs 215 pounds, had playing time with both the Pistons and the Portland Trail Blazers. He delivered an average performance of 6.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 15.1 minutes over 63 games. With the Pistons, he participated in 42 games and managed an average of 5.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 0.4 assists. He achieved a 47% field goal rate while playing for an average of 14.1 minutes per game.

Originally from Phoenix, he was traded from Detroit to Portland on Feb. 9, 2023, as part of a multi-team trade involving Atlanta, Golden State, and Portland. Subsequently, he played 21 games for the Trail Blazers, averaging 8.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in 17.1 minutes. Throughout his NBA career, comprising 275 games with 66 starts, he holds an overall average of 7.5 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 18.0 minutes.

Knox II was chosen as the ninth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft by New York. Prior to that, he spent a solitary season at Kentucky, where he garnered recognition as SEC Co-Freshman of the Year and featured in the SEC All-Freshman as well as the All-SEC Tournament First Team for 2017-18.
