Guard Patrick Beverley has landed a contract extension with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

As reported by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, “In a deal sealed on Monday, Beverley and the squad finalized a one-year extension valued at $13 million, confirmed by his representative Kevin Bradbury. The seasoned 33-year-old joined the Wolves on the final stretch of his existing contract via a summer trade from Memphis. He achieved a season peak of 20 points, hitting a high mark of 5-of-9 from the three-point range during Minnesota’s 98-90 triumph over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Jan. 5, marking his 12th game with five or more three-pointers and his 10th game surpassing the 20-point mark. This season, Beverley has secured two double-doubles, including a notable performance of 11 points and a career-best-equalling 12 assists in the Wolves’ 122-104 win against the LA Clippers on Jan. 3.

Throughout his career, the 6-1 guard has featured in 507 regular season matchups (419 as a starter) with the Houston Rockets, Clippers, and Timberwolves, averaging 8.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. Beverley has partaken in 59 postseason games (48 starts), including 17 games (seven in the starting lineup) during last season’s playoffs, carrying averages of 7.9 points on 41.2% shooting, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game.
