The NBA has cleared Tyreke Evans to return after a two-year suspension due to a breach of the NBA/NBPA’s anti-drug guidelines.

On Monday, the announcement was officially made.

Evans, who was the fourth pick in the 2009 NBA Draft and won Rookie of the Year, is now an Unrestricted Free Agent and is eligible to join a new team from this Friday onwards.

According to Marc Stein, the 32-year-old has been training with John Wall and Michael Beasley in Miami, as reported here.

After testing positive for a banned substance on May 17, 2019, Evans has been absent from professional basketball.

The six-foot-six shooting guard/small forward holds career averages of 15.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.8 assists.

He began his career with the Kings, eventually moving on to New Orleans, Memphis, and Indiana.

In his final season with the Pacers, Evans averaged 10.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists.
