Rookie forward Evan Mobley of the Cleveland Cavaliers had to exit the contest on Monday evening at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse versus Boston during the third period because of a right elbow problem and he didn’t make a comeback to the game.
Following an initial evaluation after the game and an MRI conducted today at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health, it was confirmed that Mobley has sustained a sprain in his right elbow.
Mobley is set to commence a phase of therapy and recovery, with his anticipated comeback to the court estimated at around 2-4 weeks.
In the current season, the Cavs have attained a 9-6 record, positioning them as the 5th best team in the Eastern conference.
The top point-getters for them this season thus far are Darius Garland with an average of 16.8 points per game, Collin Sexton scoring 16.0 ppg, and Ricky Rubio, Mobley, and Jarrett Allen, all contributing with 14-15 ppg.
Mobley has been posting statistics of 14.6 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 2.5 apg, and 1.6 bpg. He’s leading the pack among all the rookies in the league at this early stage.
