The Oklahoma City Thunder Extend Agreements On Five Athletes

The franchise of Oklahoma City Thunder has decided to prolong the contracts of power forward Ousmane Dieng, versatile forward/center Chet Holmgren, swingman Jalen Williams, and the backcourt duo of Josh Giddey and Tre Mann.

Dieng, a newcomer to the Thunder roster, participated in 39 games, with one of them being a starting opportunity. His average performance consisted of 4.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists during 14.6 minutes per game. The Thunder bestowed the 11th overall selection of the 2022 NBA Draft to Dieng.

Following a recovery period from a Lisfranc foot injury, Holmgren is eagerly awaited to join the NBA scene in the upcoming 2023-24 season. He was the second pick during the 2022 NBA Draft and collected accolades such as the AP All-American Second Team recognition from his time with the Gonzaga Bulldogs.

Williams, drafted as the 12th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, demonstrated an outstanding performance in his debut season. Playing in 75 matchups, with 62 of them as a starter, he showcased averages of 14.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.4 steals in 30.3 minutes. His remarkable display earned him a spot in the 2022-23 NBA All-Rookie First Team and a second-place ranking in the Rookie of the Year voting.

Giddey, previously featured in the Rising Stars team, exhibited an impressive performance with stats of 16.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 6.2 assists during an average of 31.1 minutes per game. The sixth overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, he has clinched the Western Conference Rookie of the Month distinction on four occasions.

Mann, who has represented the Thunder for two seasons, has equipped himself in 127 games, including 31 starts. The guard has maintained averages of 9.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 20.1 minutes per game since being chosen as the 18th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
