Despite the Utah Jazz having a lead over the Dallas Mavericks by a staggering 39 points, the Delta Center was packed until the very end on Monday night as fans hoped to witness a historic moment.
Those who opted to stay until the end witnessed a drought of almost 16 years finally end as Jordan Clarkson emerged as the first Jazz athlete since Carlos Boozer on Feb. 13, 2008 to attain a triple-double in the regular season (Ricky Rubio achieved this in the playoffs in 2018).
By scoring 20 points, providing 11 assists, and grabbing 10 rebounds, the Jazz’s most enduring player earned his initial triple-double and joined the exclusive group of merely the 38th player to achieve this coming off the bench.
