Steph Curry suffered a hamstring injury during the first game of the series against the Timberwolves, prompting an update from his coach, Steve Kerr.
After the team’s 99-88 win in Minnesota, Kerr reported that the star guard is currently deemed day-to-day and will undergo an MRI on Wednesday.
Hamstring injuries can be particularly tricky to evaluate.
“We’re definitely preparing as if he won’t be available on Thursday,” Kerr noted, adding, “We still don’t have a definitive answer… we’ll need to talk about how to create offense without Steph.”
Curry appeared to sustain the injury after hitting a driving 13-foot floater with 8:20 left in the second quarter, immediately grabbing his leg afterward.

Curry seemed to signal for a substitution but continued to play for about 30 seconds before the game was paused.
Once he could, he walked off the court directly to the locker room.
The team officially declared him out later in the second quarter.
When he returned from the locker room, Curry was observed walking with a noticeable limp.
With Curry out, the offensive focus shifted to Jimmy Butler, who recorded 20 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, and two steals. Buddy Hield also contributed significantly, leading the game with 24 points, in addition to eight rebounds, three assists, and one steal.
