The Brooklyn Nets have officially signed forward Drew Timme to a multi-year contract.
At 6’10” and 235 pounds, Timme has played in 29 regular season games this year, starting in 28 of them for the Long Island Nets, Brooklyn’s NBA G League affiliate. He is currently averaging 23.9 points per game, which ranks him eighth in the league. His shooting statistics include a field goal percentage of 57.0, a three-point shooting percentage of 38.5, and a free-throw shooting percentage of 73.1. Moreover, he contributes an average of 10.3 rebounds—placing him fourth in the league—alongside 4.1 assists and 1.0 steals over 35.6 minutes per game.
At the age of 24, Timme is the only player in the NBA G League this season to record averages of at least 20 points and 10 rebounds per game, achieving an impressive 17 double-doubles. Recently, he was honored as the NBA G League Player of the Week for his stellar performance from March 17 to March 23, during which he averaged 35.7 points while shooting 68.4 percent from the field and 63.6 percent from three-point range. Along with this scoring, he averaged 12.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 steals in 35.7 minutes per game, helping lead Long Island to a 2-1 record.
