The Golden State Warriors have signed forward Kevin Knox II to a second 10-day contract as of yesterday.
The 25-year-old Knox II played in three games with Golden State during his first 10-day contract, which ran from February 19 to February 28. He averaged 7.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.0 assists across 8.2 minutes per game. Standing at 6 feet 7 inches, he has also taken to the court in 28 games this season for Santa Cruz, where he has posted averages of 21.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists over 32.6 minutes per game. He received recognition as the NBA G League Player of the Week for the inaugural week of the season (Dec. 27–Jan. 5).
In his time with Golden State this season, Knox II has played in seven games, where he has averaged 4.0 points and 1.6 rebounds in 7.3 minutes. The 6’7” forward has also made 28 appearances (all as a starter) for the Santa Cruz Warriors, his team in the G League, consistently delivering 21.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 32.6 minutes per game. He was named NBA G League Player of the Week for the opening week of the regular season (Dec. 27–Jan. 5).
Knox II was selected ninth overall by the New York Knicks during the 2018 NBA Draft. Over his seven seasons with the Knicks, Atlanta Hawks, Detroit Pistons, Portland Trail Blazers, and the Warriors, he holds career averages of 7.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 17.8 minutes in 313 games (77 of which he started).
