Daryl Morey, the President of Basketball Operations for the Philadelphia 76ers, revealed today that the team has signed David Roddy to a 10-day contract.

This season, Roddy has appeared in 27 games (with three as a starter) for the Atlanta Hawks, where he has averaged 4.5 points per outing while shooting 47.3% from the field and 37.2% from beyond the arc, as well as contributing 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. He recorded a season-best 17 points (5-10 FG) on October 30 against the Washington Wizards, marking one of five games this season in which he reached double figures.

Now in his third NBA season, Roddy has participated in a total of 162 games (20 starts) across stints with Memphis, Phoenix, and Atlanta, holding career averages of 6.3 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.

Initially drafted by Philadelphia as the 23rd overall selection in the 2022 NBA Draft, his draft rights were subsequently traded to Memphis.

Before entering the professional arena, Roddy enjoyed a successful three-year career at Colorado State, where he averaged 15.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists across 91 games (76 starts). He completed his college tenure by being honored as the Mountain West Conference Player of the Year for the 2021-22 season, finishing fourth in the conference in scoring (19.2 points per game on 57.1% FG) and sixth in rebounding (7.5 rebounds per game).

In his time with the 76ers, Roddy will wear the number 45.
