Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin has been handed a one-game suspension without pay due to inappropriate contact and verbal misconduct aimed at a game official, as announced by Joe Dumars, the Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations.
The incident occurred with 3:58 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Pacers’ 127-117 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on January 14 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Mathurin will begin his suspension on January 16 when the Pacers face off against the Detroit Pistons.
