Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka, along with forward Tari Eason and center Alperen Sengun, has been fined $50,000, $35,000, and $15,000, respectively, as announced today by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations.
Udoka’s $50,000 penalty arises from a confrontation with a game official that included profane language, a delay in leaving the court following his ejection, and critical comments about the officiating during his postgame press conference.
Eason faces a $35,000 fine for tossing a towel and using inappropriate language towards a fan in the stands after the game concluded.
Sengun has received a $15,000 fine for making inappropriate comments directed at a game official.
The events that led to the technical fouls and the subsequent ejection of Udoka and Sengun occurred with 1:52 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Rockets’ 120-111 loss to the Sacramento Kings at the Golden 1 Center on Tuesday, December 3.
