X-rays revealed no major injuries for Nets forward Cameron Johnson, who suffered an ankle sprain near the end of Thursday night’s win against Milwaukee, according to Brian Lewis of The New York Post. The injury occurred when Johnson and Ziaire Williams both attempted to secure a rebound after a missed three-point shot. Johnson seemed to twist his ankle upon landing on Williams’ foot, resulting in the ball going out of bounds.
Following the incident, Johnson left the court and had imaging performed in the locker room post-game. While he avoided a severe injury, Lewis noted that Johnson was spotted using crutches in the locker room, suggesting he could be sidelined for a while.
“All I know is it was super loud, trying to get the ball, and Cam was behind me,” said Williams. “Yeah, I don’t know (what happened). I have to look back. But yeah, man, I kind of ruined the night. I hope it’s nothing serious. I feel really bad right now, I can’t lie to you, man. Yeah, it sucks when you get hurt in a fashion like that.”
In the game, Johnson topped all scorers with 26 points, hitting 10 of 16 shots from the field and 6 of 12 from three-point range. This season is shaping up to be the best of his career, and he has emerged as Brooklyn’s primary trade asset following the departures of Dennis Schröder and Dorian Finney-Smith.
“Yeah, unfortunate. Unfortunate,” remarked D’Angelo Russell. “He’s a strong guy, though. I know he’ll be back soon, and he’ll be back stronger. I’m not worried about him. He’ll be all right.”

Marks intends to utilize these assets to attract star players to Brooklyn. “You have to be poised and position yourself to be able to have that opportunity,” he said. “We’re going to give…
