Washington Wizards Part Ways with Jared Butler

On Tuesday, the Washington Wizards began the process to waive guard Jared Butler.

Throughout the 2023-24 season, Butler appeared in 40 games for Washington, averaging 6.3 points, 3.2 assists, and 1.5 rebounds per contest. The former Baylor star also played 16 games with the Wizards’ NBA G League affiliate, the Capital City Go-Go, during the last season.

His latest action was in five preseason contests for Washington.

Presently, the Wizards’ roster includes 18 players, with three of them on two-way contracts.
