The friction between Nike and Jaylen Brown has reignited following a recent game between the Bucks and the Celtics, during which Brown had a notable confrontation with Giannis Antetokounmpo.
For those who missed the action, Giannis delivered an elbow to Brown’s head before teasingly pretending to offer him a handshake.

After the game, Brown expressed his discontent towards the playful antics.
“Giannis is a child,” Jaylen stated. “I’m just focused on helping my team secure a win. And that’s what we accomplished tonight.”
In turn, Giannis clarified that his intent was all in good fun, noting their previous friendly exchanges on the court.
“Oh, that’s what he said?,” Giannis responded. “He called me a child. I thought I was giving him a compliment. … I spend time with my kids and nieces, and sometimes I play around like that on the court. But as I mentioned, I really admire his talent; I’ll just keep being myself.”
Now, Nike has joined the conversation. Brown has had a long-standing dispute with the brand and has even claimed that his omission from the Olympics was partially due to Nike’s influence.
Following Giannis’s outstanding performance—where he scored 59 points, just five short of his career high of 64, while also pulling down 14 rebounds, leading the Bucks to a 127-120 overtime victory against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday—the company took to social media to take a jab at the Celtics star.
