Castleton, who is 6-foot-11 and weighs 250 pounds, spent his inaugural 2023-24 season as a two-way player with the Los Angeles Lakers after going undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft. He participated in 24 games (23 starts) with the South Bay Lakers during both the NBA G League Showcase Cup and the regular season, posting averages of 16.4 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.5 blocks in 28.8 minutes per game, all while shooting a remarkable 57.4 percent from the field. Throughout the season, he achieved 14 double-doubles.
The 24-year-old also appeared in 16 games during the NBA regular season, averaging 1.5 points in 3.7 minutes per game. He was waived by the Lakers on October 19.
In his final year at Florida, Castleton earned All-SEC First Team and All-SEC Defensive Team accolades for the 2022-23 season, leading the conference and ranking third nationally with an impressive average of 3.0 blocks per game.
