DeMar DeRozan and Drake have recently traded barbs after an incident occurred during a Kings-Raptors game, where Drake mocked DeRozan.
Earlier this year, Drake was involved in a highly publicized rivalry with artist Kendrick Lamar that captured widespread media interest.
Despite their past connection, DeRozan, a former Raptors player, seemed to side with Kendrick during this feud. In July, he appeared in Lamar’s music video for “Not Like Us,” which includes accusations aimed at Drake regarding pedophilia and sexual misconduct.
Kendrick specifically referred to DeRozan in the track, stating, “I’m glad DeRoz’ came home, y’all didn’t deserve him neither,” in reference to DeRozan’s move from the Raptors to the Kings in California.
This incident appeared to linger in Drake’s mind. During a Raptors home game, he shouted an expletive-filled remark at DeRozan as he passed by on the court, proclaiming, “F*ck outta here, pussy.”

This confrontation took place during the ceremony honoring Raptors legend Vince Carter’s jersey retirement. While commentators were interviewing Drake live on air, they suggested that DeRozan might also receive a similar tribute in the future, which prompted an unfavorable response from Drake.
“If you ever put a DeRozan banner up, I’ll pull that thing down myself … shout out to Kyle [Lowry],” he remarked, referencing DeRozan.
