Filipowski (7-0, 248, Duke) took part in eight games (five as a starter) for the Jazz during the 2024 Salt Lake City Summer League and NBA 2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas, recording averages of 11.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.0 steal in 22.2 minutes per game. The Westtown, N.Y. native was chosen by the Jazz with the 32nd overall selection in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft.
Throughout his two-year collegiate career, he participated in 72 games (all starts), delivering averages of 15.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.1 blocks in 29.8 minutes per contest. He became the seventh player from Duke in the past 50 years to amass over 1,000 points in their first two seasons.
During his sophomore year in the 2023-24 season, he averaged 16.4 points on 50.6 percent shooting from the field, alongside 8.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists across 36 games, achieving Consensus 2023-24 All-American Second Team and All-ACC First Team honors. In his debut collegiate season in 2022-23, he averaged 15.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists over 36 games, garnering 2022-23 All-ACC Second Team and All-ACC Freshman Team recognition, as well as being named the ACC’s Freshman of the Year and Rookie of the Year.
The 20-year-old wrapped up his high school career at Wilbraham & Monson Academy in Wilbraham, Mass., where he received the 2021 Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year award. Following his high school tenure, he competed in the 2022 Jordan Brand Classic and Nike Hoop Summit.
