The 79th NBA regular season is set to begin on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, and will conclude on Sunday, April 13, 2025. The NBA Play-In Tournament for 2025 is slated to take place from Tuesday, April 15 to Friday, April 18, followed by the start of the NBA Playoffs for 2025 on Saturday, April 19. The initial game of the NBA Finals for 2025 is scheduled for Thursday, June 5.
The regular-season schedule includes designated dates and opponents for 80 of each team’s 82 matches, with two games labeled as TBD for dates and adversaries. These two fixtures for every squad, set to occur between December 10-16, will be determined based on the results of the Group Play games in the NBA Cup 2024. The timetable for Group Play, comprising 60 contests to be played on Tuesdays and Fridays from November 12 to December 3, was announced on August 13.
