Following his release from Milwaukee three weeks ago, former Bucks two-way player Jaylin Galloway is set to return to the Sydney Kings, his former team in Australia, as reported by Olgun Uluc of ESPN.
As previously noted by Uluc, Galloway had signed a three-year deal with Sydney before leaving Australia’s National Basketball League to enter a two-way contract with the Bucks in March. This agreement allowed the NBL’s Kings the right of first refusal should he decide to come back to the league.
According to Uluc, Galloway and Sydney have renegotiated that existing contract, finalizing a new three-year deal.
Standing at 6’6″, Galloway did not see any action at the NBA level in the 2023/24 season after joining Milwaukee but played in seven games towards the conclusion of the season for the Wisconsin Herd in the G League, averaging 4.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.3 blocks in 20.4 minutes per game. The 21-year-old Australian posted averages of 10.3 PPG and 3.4 RPG for Sydney earlier in the ’23/24 season.
Galloway is reconnecting with a Sydney team that features several former NBA talents, including guard Jaylen Adams and forwards Xavier Cooks and Cameron Oliver. Uluc has shared an anticipated view of the Kings’ complete roster in a Twitter post.
The Bucks, who let go of Galloway to open up space for Anzejs Pasecniks, have now filled their three two-way slots, with Pasecniks joining Ryan Rollins and Stanley Umude.
