Brooklyn Nets Strike Deal With Keon Johnson For Prolonged Period

Not long ago, the Brooklyn Nets solidified an arrangement with point guard Keon Johnson for an extended commitment.

On the first day of November in 2023, Johnson (6’4″, 185) sealed a pact with Brooklyn beneath a dual-way contract, where he garnered an average of 6.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in 12.3 minutes of play across five games in the 2023-24 season. Moreover, he engaged in 26 regular season clashes (one as a starter) in the preceding season with Long Island Nets, the affiliate of Brooklyn’s NBA G League team. In these matchups, he amassed an average of 18.2 points while shooting 47.8% from the field, 37.9% from three-point range, and 80.3% from the free-throw line.

He also snagged 6.4 rebounds, distributed 3.4 assists, and pilfered 1.1 steals per game in 27.7 minutes on the floor. In the playoffs, the 22-year-old player flaunted impressive statistics, raking in averages of 19.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.0 steals across 36.5 minutes per game over three starts for the Long Island team. More recently, Johnson exhibited his talents in four games, each of which he initiated for Brooklyn’s NBA 2K25 Summer League ensemble in Las Vegas.

During these matches, he sustained an average of 16.3 points with a shooting accuracy of 45.1%, secured 4.8 rebounds, facilitated 5.8 assists, and garnered 1.5 steals in an average of 30.7 minutes per game.
