Throughout the prior season, Swider had spells with both the HEAT and their G League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce. In his 14 G League showings with the Skyforce, he showcased impressive figures, maintaining a team-best 24.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 39.4 minutes per match on average. Swider exhibited exceptional shooting abilities, boasting a 51.4% field goal accuracy, 50% accuracy from long range, and an 81.3% success rate from the charity stripe. He secured the second spot in the G League for three-point shooting efficiency, achieving double-digit points in each of the 14 contests.
Notably, he amassed 12 matches with over 20 points and four encounters surpassing the 30-point mark. Swider’s standout moments of the season encompass a career-high 37-point performance against Salt Lake City on January 7 and a personal best of 13 rebounds against Rip City on February 10. Across his 18 appearances with Miami last season, he averaged 2.3 points in 4.8 minutes per game. Swider topped the bench players in scoring, assists, and blocks in individual games, hitting double-digit scoring on two occasions – notching 11 points versus Brooklyn on November 25 and establishing a personal best of 14 points against New Orleans on March 22.
Williams, lauded as the NBA G League’s Most Improved Player of the previous season, also divided his time between the Miami Heat and the Sioux Falls Skyforce. He took part in 27 regular-season G League matchups, commencing all of them. Williams posted impressive stats, maintaining averages of 21.7 points, 7.3 assists, 5.4 rebounds, 1.22 steals, and 38.1 minutes per game. He showcased efficient shooting percentages, hitting 52.2% from the field, 37.9% from long range, and 76.6% from the free-throw line. Williams secured a place in the All-NBA G League First Team and got selected for the Rising Stars Game during the NBA All-Star Weekend.
He ranked second in minutes per game, sixth in scoring, and ninth in assists per game among G League players. Williams led his squad in multiple categories such as points, assists, field goals made, three-pointers made, free throws made, minutes played, and starts. He achieved double-digit scoring in 26 games, including 13 matches with over 20 points, three outings scoring above 30 points, one game with 40 points, and a record-setting 55-point performance against Salt Lake City on January 7. Williams also made appearances in seven Heat games, contributing with five points, one rebound, and one block.
