Orlando Magic Extend Contract Proposal To Defender Trevelin Queen

Defender Trevelin Queen has been presented with a contract extension offer from the Orlando Magic.

By offering Queen a contract extension before the cut-off date of June 30, Orlando now holds the power to match any agreement he may reach with another team. Queen is due to become a restricted free agent on July 1.

Standing tall at 6’6″ and weighing 190 pounds, born on May 15, 2000, Queen featured in 14 games with Orlando last season, averaging 2.9 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 11.8 minutes per game. Moreover, he competed in and started 19 regular-season contests with Osceola in the NBA G League, showcasing impressive statistics with averages of 22.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 2.26 steals in 33.8 minutes per game. Queen was honored with selections to the 2023-24 All-NBA G League Second Team and the 2023-24 NBA G League All-Showcase Team. He also claimed the MVP award during the 2024 NBA G League Up Next Game as part of the NBA All-Star Weekend.

Having gone undrafted by any NBA team, Queen has played in a combined total of 31 NBA regular-season contests with Houston, Indiana, and Orlando. In these games, he has maintained an average of 3.4 points and 1.7 rebounds in 10.0 minutes per game. Additionally, he has appeared in 77 NBA G League regular-season games (with 59 starts) representing Rio Grande Valley, Fort Wayne, and Osceola, demonstrating his talents by averaging 20.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 2.29 steals in 31.6 minutes per game. Notably, Queen was named the NBA G League Most Valuable Player in the 2021-22 season and led Rio Grande Valley to the 2022 NBA G League title, earning the NBA G League Finals MVP award.
