The Detroit Pistons disclosed the previous day that Trajan Langdon has been selected as the Head of Basketball Operations.
Operating under the supervision of Pistons owner Tom Gores, Langdon aims to reinforce the current lineup, recruiting top-tier and highly capable executives, centering on a holistic strategic outlook, player evaluation, and the management of basketball affairs.

His progression up the ladder involves diverse experiences as a player, scout, and executive. At every level, he has proven to be a consistent winner. At the age of 48, Langdon joins the Pistons bringing with him a repository of 12 years in executive analysis and player scouting roles, most recently serving as the Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations for the New Orleans Pelicans from 2019 to 2024. Prior to his role in New Orleans, Langdon played a pivotal role in the management teams of the Brooklyn Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and San Antonio Spurs.
