An Agreement Is Reached Between The Detroit Pistons And Guard Jaylen Nowell

The agreement has been finalized: Jaylen Nowell is now officially a member of the Detroit Pistons following the endorsement of a deal.

At a height of 6-4 and weighing 201 pounds, Nowell became part of Detroit’s squad on April 3 through a ten-day agreement. During his tenure with the Pistons, he demonstrated his talents in three matches, attaining an average of 8.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.0 assists across 16.7 minutes per game.

With a background of five years in the NBA, Nowell has previously competed in 193 games (which includes four instances of starting) for Minnesota and Memphis. Originally chosen as the No. 43 selection by the Timberwolves in the 2019 NBA Draft, Nowell possesses career figures of 8.9 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 0.5 steals per game in 17.1 minutes. Nowell also contributed in nine games for the Grizzlies this season, achieving an average of 5.7 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game over 17.1 minutes.

During his participation in 28 games this season with the Stockton Kings, which is the G League team linked with the Sacramento Kings, Nowell has demonstrated an impressive performance with an average of 17.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game within 27.9 minutes.

Originating from Seattle, Nowell engaged in college basketball at the University of Washington from 2017 to 2019, where he was acclaimed as the Pac-12 Player of the Year and secured a position on the First-Team All-Pac-12 due to his exceptional contributions to the Huskies in 2019.
