The Los Angeles Lakers Secure Dwayne Bacon And Matt Ryan

Guard Dwayne Bacon and forward Matt Ryan have officially joined the Los Angeles Lakers roster.

It is highly probable that the agreements are for non-guaranteed contracts specifically for the upcoming training camp.

Bacon, standing at 6’6” and weighing 221 pounds, participated in all 72 games during the 2020-21 season, starting in 50 of them for the Orlando Magic. He maintained an average of 10.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 25.7 minutes per game. Over the span of four seasons with Orlando (2020-21) and Charlotte (2017-20), Bacon’s averages stand at 7.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 19.4 minutes of gameplay.

On the other hand, Ryan, who is 6’7” tall and 215 pounds, participated in a total of 30 regular season G League matches (with 20 appearances as a starting player) in the previous season for Grand Rapids and Maine. He delivered an impressive performance with 19.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists while showcasing a 41.5 percent shooting accuracy from the 3-point range. In addition, Ryan made a single appearance for the Boston Celtics last season, impressively scoring three points and securing one steal within a five-minute gameplay period.
