Veteran shooting guard C.J. McCollum and the NewOrleans Pelicans agreed to a two-year, $64 million contract extension.
McCollum will be under contract with the Pels through the 2025-26 season, with no player or team option, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

New Orleans core of McCollum, Brandon Ingram, and Zion Williamson are all under contract for the next three seasons giving Pels fans a reason to be hopeful.
McCollum joined New Orleans last season in a deal that sent Josh Hart, Thomas Satoransky, and Nickeil Alexander-Walker, to Portland for McCollum, Larry Nance Jr., and Tony Snell.
McCollum averaged 24.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.7 triples per game after the trade to New Orleans.
New Orleans finished the season 36-46 before beating the Spurs and Clippers in the play-in tournament despite Williamson being out of the lineup.
They eventually fell to defending Western Conference champs the Phoenix Suns 4-2 in the first round.
