According to a report from ESPN’s Jamal Collier and Ramona Shelburne, it is anticipated that Lonzo Ball, the point guard of the Chicago Bulls, will be absent during the team’s training camp.
Lonzo Ball has been sidelined since January as he continues to recover from a surgical procedure on his meniscus.
In July, Arturas Karnisovas, the vice president of the Bulls, mentioned that Ball’s recovery progress is not as rapid as desired, stating, “He is showing signs of improvement, albeit not as quickly as we had hoped.”
It appears that more time is required for Lonzo Ball to return to full fitness for competitive play.
Last season, Ball showcased an average of 13.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.8 steals while shooting 42% from the field, 42% from three-point range, and 75% from the free-throw line in 35 games with the Bulls.
The Bulls initiated the previous season on a strong note, significantly attributed to Ball’s playmaking skills and defensive contributions. However, their position in the standings declined post Ball’s departure due to the meniscus injury.
