Ten-year veteran Kent Bazemore is headed back to Sacramento, agreeing to a one-year deal with the Kings, per The Athletic’s  Shams Charania.

After seeing limited play last season with the Lakers, Bazemore tweeted his excitement about rejoining his old team and coach Mike Brown.

Bazemore averaged 10.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 25 games for the Kings during the 2019-20 season.

The 33-year-old  played under Brown during the 2020-21 season when Brown was the assistant coach of the Golden State Warriors.

Brown was named the Kings’ head coach last May, beating out fellow head-coaching veterans Mike D’Antoni, Steve Clifford, and Mark Jackson.

Last year with the Lakers, the 6-foot-4 small forward/shooting guard averaged 3.4 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in limited action far from his career, scoring high of 13.1 points in 2013-14 during his first stint with the Lakers.

Bazemore brings experience and depth on the wing to the Kings, who finished 30-52 and in 12th place in the Western Conference.

The Kings also added former Laker Malik Monk to go with De’ Aaron Fox, Harrison Barnes, Domantas Sabonis.
