Oklahoma’s quarterback, Kyler Murray, is on the verge of facing numerous possibilities to explore once his college football season concludes. Currently, his primary focus remains on the upcoming game against Alabama scheduled for Saturday. Having already inked a deal with the Oakland Athletics in MLB, Murray’s prospects have significantly heightened.
Having clinched the Heisman Trophy subsequent to signing the contract, Murray emerges as a prime candidate for the NFL Draft in 2019 across all sectors. When questioned about this, he simply responded stating that no definitive decisions have been made as of now. His sole concentration remains fixed on the imminent clash with Crimson Tide.
In an issued statement, Murray expressed, “Presently, nothing has altered.” He further iterated that he hasn’t devoted any effort or thoughts to concerns of this nature. His primary objective at present is to hit the field on Saturday and let his performance speak on his behalf amidst the myriad of questions. Murray also emphasized that having options is never a negative thing.
However, the discussions around the options have resulted in considerable ambiguity. It rests upon Murray himself to dispel these uncertainties. According to his agent, Scott Boras, Murray has no intentions of transitioning to the NFL. Despite this, Murray appears confident in his abilities as a quarterback should he ever transition to the NFL, as indicated by his agent despite the presence of a clause in the contract permitting such a move.
