Since sometimes people were thinking about the one of the greatest mystery that aroused in the NFL combine in this season. The mystery has solved by Lamar Jackson, quarterback of the Ravens. During the entire life and career, Jackson played as a quarterback, and now also he is a quarterback. But some reports have suggested that Jackson wanted as to play the role of wide receiver.
However, through this, the team could get an idea of what he might be capable of and how he could manage to play in the new role. Jackson was looking upset the reason behind that he decided to pull out of the 40-yard dash.
First, when the news came to the front that Jackson is switching the position, the report didn’t inform that which teams asked him to play wide receiver. But now Jackson himself has revealed the details while attending a podcast with the Ravens website. The interesting thing is there weren’t different teams who asked Jackson for changing; there was only one team, i.e., the Los Angeles Chargers.
Jackson stated that it was a Chargers scout, he was the only one who advised doing this. He further stated that he told Jackson to do that. He caught Jackson off guard with it. First, Jackson thought that he was trying to be funny, but later he kept saying that. It just became blown out of proportion. But Jackson clearly stated that he had no interest in playing as a receiver.
The Chargers stated Jackson to go out for some wide receiver routes but replaying him Jackson answered quarterback only. That’s made Jackson not to run the 40 and participate in all that other stuff. It is said that the Chargers have received the report from Bill Polian, the former NFL general manager. Polian worked as the GM of the Colt from 1997 to 2011.
